It’s like the olympic closing ceremony…
funny story about these, i had a red one on my birthday and everyone was like “wow this is the coolest fucking thing ever” and it plays music and all that, but when it came to actually eating the cake and taking the candle out, there was no off switch, so we had to smash it to pieces in the back garden to shut it up. turns out if you smash it up the music box still works. when i was in bed at 3am i could hear something so i opened the window, and it sounded like a tune you would hear in a horror movie before someone gets their body ripped to shreds and eaten. sleep well munchkins. you dont want this fucking thing.

i love how every single time i see this there’s a new horror story about this candle
the first time we got this candle my brother just cut the wire to shut it up but the next time we just left it in our basement to see how long it would go. Literally three weeks later i asked my mom to just throw it away because the sound was becoming distorted and creepy

THE NOTES.
One of the most powerful moments in the film…
It’s that look of Toothless’ in the 4th gif that gets me every time. That pause after Stoick say “I’m so sorry.” It’s like Toothless understands, knows that Stoick is apologizing to not only Hiccup, but him as well for his resentment of dragons. It’s like Toothless can understand that the broken bond between his rider and Stoick has been mended.
EXACTLY. Toothless is super sensitive of people, especially when they say sorry to his Hiccup. He’s protective of Hiccup, but he will let down his guard when he sees remorse or compassion. In this case, he saw that Stoick was sorry, like you said, for his misjudgment of Hiccup and for dragonkind. Toothless is perceptive of that in in this moment chooses to reward Stoick with his son, but only after Stoick recognized his lesson and humbled himself enough to understand it.
Yes, YESSSS!! ^^ The 4th GIF is priceless in this series of priceless moments after the final battle. That expression of Toothless is one of the most moving, beautiful faces he ever has — so much understanding behind his eyes, thoughts, feelings. Both the greatest Viking and the most feared dragon are gazing face-to-face, united by their love for this one boy. It is so true that Toothless senses remorse, and always, he returns mercy for mercy. Stoick tried to kill this dragon and this dragon tried to kill him, yet right here Toothless is opening his wings and giving up into his enemy’s arms the one person his whole life wraps around. Now that is beautiful, unforgettable.
